Gymnastics 21 is an award-winning business and is looking for new casual staff to cater to the growth of the club.


Gymnastics 21 is a mobile gymnastics service providing quality programs to children in the Hunter NSW. Primarily Rutherford, Thornton and Salt Ash.
Gymnastics 21 offers School programs, GFA (Gymnastics For All) and Kinder Gym programs. Catering for ages 2 - 18yrs, all abilities and genders.

Coaches are responsible for providing gymnastics instruction to members in accordance with the Club and industry's vision, policies, programs, and guidelines. When you are a part of our team that provides 'more than just gymnastics' then you become 'more than just a coach'.




Culture and Leadership

  • Actively promote the vision, values, principles, and practices of the Club.


  • Adhere to current Club and industry policies, practices, and guidelines when planning, delivering, and evaluating programs

  • Submit timely and accurate written program reports to the Club as requested

  • Attend competitions and events as required

  • Attend and actively participate in coaching meetings when required

Communication and Liaison

  • Build positive relationships with gymnasts and their parents/guardians

  • Effectively communicate relevant information to gymnasts and their parents/guardians in a timely manner

  • Promptly and effectively manage coaching-related issues as they are brought to your attention by gymnasts or their parents/guardians

  • Ensure accuracy when reporting legal documents as requested, such as timesheets and incident reports.

  • Ensure gymnasts and their parents/guardians are aware of Club and industry policies, practices, and guidelines


  • Ensure personal and gymnast awareness and compliance with Club and industry health and safety policies and procedures

  • Ensure gym equipment is safe prior to use and comply with equipment safety reporting requirements

  • Ensure you are following the WHS manual handling requirements when moving equipment and spotting gymnasts

  • Adhere to club safety and injury management practices and reporting requirements

  • Ensure familiarisation with the Club’s emergency procedures

Professional Development

  • Ensure professional qualifications and industry knowledge are up-to-date

  • Attend in-house safety, skills and development training as requested from time to time

  • And any other duties as directed



  • Current Working with Children Check

  • Current First Aid Qualification Provide first aid (HLTAID003) - formerly Senior First Aid.

  • Must be available to work after school hours

  • Reliable



  • Current Gymnastics Australia Technical Member with an Intermediate or above Coaching Accreditation

  • Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced judging qualifications in the relevant gym sport

  • Current Gymnastics Australia Technical Member with Intermediate coaching level or above

  • Current police check

  • More than two years experience

  • Driver’s licence and transport

Casual position

Flexible hours 2 - 10 hours a week
Hourly Rate negotiable.


The perks to the job is you get to work close with the different communities and learn about people. The owner/manager will be your mentor through your transition into the new job. Training will be available for new beginner coaches. The Gymnastics 21 team are friendly and always willing to help, we have a great culture.
